HBTA Policies and Procedures
Privacy and Confidentiality
All training organisations need to collect information about all participants who enrol. This policy provides information about what HBTA is contractually obliged to do with your information.
In summary, we are required under the terms of government contracts to provide specific information about participants to both the Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA) in Queensland and through them, the Department of Employment, Education and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) in Canberra.
This information is mainly used to gather statistical information about the background, motivation and training history of people who participate in these programs. Only the information gathered on our enrolment forms, combined with that client's training progress, is reported.
To simplify our student administration, we report on all Queensland enrolments. At this stage, we do not report on any enrolments from interstate enrolments.
The Privacy Policy for the Productivity Places Program is slightly different and is enclosed with the Confirmation of Enrolment document sent to you with your information kit. It must be completed and returned to HBTA to confirm that you understand the requirements and allow us to pass on specific information about your enrolment to government departments.
