Learning materials
The Academy uses resources from its sister organisation, Sea Eagle Publications, as well as other external companies. Depending on your enrolment, you may receive learning and assessment materials on a unit by unit basis, or receive all the required resources at the same time.
Resources produced by Sea Eagle Publications include a printed set of manuals supported by electronic documents on a CD. The study manuals contain explanatory notes, PowerPoint presentations, directions on supplementary readings and instructions for finding key information on the Internet.
Other resources may be supplied by alternative providers and will contain a workbook complete with explanatory notes and assessment activities.
Some assessment materials are supplied in hard copy for workshop practical sessions. Where provided by Sea Eagle Training, all assessment materials are also supplied in electronic format on your Resource CD so they can be completed on a computer and submitted by post or email.
Distance learners will be supplied with each workbook as they send in their final assessments for the previous Unit. This allows them to start the new Unit without delay while waiting for assessment feedback.
