Government-funded programs
Overview
HBTA can offer a range of programs which are subsidised by either the Federal or Queensland government.
The Productivity Places Program is an Australian Government initiative that provides eligible jobseekers with financial assistance in the form of covering their enrolment fees with approved Registered Training Organisations. You can find out more information from this brochure or the official website at www.dest.gov.au/productivityplaces/jobseekers.html.
The national government, through Centrelink, also offers Austudy, Abstudy and the Pensioner Education Supplement to its eligible clients. You will need to contact your local office to make sure that you are likely to meet their eligibiligy criteria for these educational payments before enrolling with us.
Queensland residents are able to access vouchers of $500.00 through the Skilling Solutions Queensland (RPL) program. This is paid to approved Registered Training Providers and counts towards the cost of Recognition of Prior Learning assessments. Our RPL fees listed on each qualification page (where we are approved by SSQ) include the $500.00 which we receive from the Department of Education, Training and the Arts.
Another form of government-funded assistance is the Existing Worker Traineeship. In this case, the employer receives a payment for each trainee employed.
Eligiblity rules apply and it is imortant that you read the relevant program page carefully before attempting to enrol with us.
