Enrolment Information
Government-funded programs
The enrolment process for the Productivity Places Program - Job Seekers will vary, depending on who makes the referral:
- registered job seekers will generally be referred by an ESP who will:
- assess whether you meet the eligibility criteria for the program and your ability to complete the training
- refer you to enabling training where they assess that you lack foundation skills needed to complete the training requirements
- make an initial assessment of your priority group
- discuss your desired vocational qualification and eligible qualifications in industry demand that can be undertaken
- contact us and refer you for a Productivity Places Program enrolment
- job seekers who are not registered can only apply if they were made redundant after 24th February 2009. We still require a referral from a contracted Employment Service Provider as well as a certified copy of your Separation Certificate. You also need to
- visit the program website and determine the initial eligibility requirements (or download this CoE form)
- contact us to make an appointment so we can discuss training opportunities with you
At present, unregistered job seekers (Priority 2 or 3 applicants) are advised that no extra funding exists at this time with further funding possibly becoming available in June 2009. We recommend that you regularly visit the program website for updated information as it becomes available.
You will need to provide full eligibility evidence as outlined on the Confirmation of Enrolment form when you submit your enrolment form for one of our approved qualifications:.
- BSB30207 Certificate III in Customer Contact
- HLT32507 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
- TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
You may also be required to attend an interview where your capacity to benefit will be assessed. During that interview (which may held over the telephone or by email), we will also confirm your elective units.
Once we have finalised your enrolment process, we will register your details with the Productivity Places Program team. While we do not guarantee that your application will succeed, we are generally successful in securing a place for you, particularly with the TAA40104 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. If your application is successful, you will receive a Letter of Notification either in person (if you are present when we process your application) or by post (electronic or manual).
Withdrawing from your funded place
We recognise that 'life happens' and that you may experience difficulty with completing your program. However, we strongly recommend that you remain in contact with your trainer and especially with HBTA Head Office if you encounter or expect any delays with your progress. We remind all applicants that we apply a 'Progression Rule' to all enrolments.
If your place is funded through the Productivity Places Program and if you fail to meet our progression rules, your enrolment could be terminated. This means you lose your entitlement under this program and cannot apply for another voucher.
Once you commence your program, your options are extremely limited. We strongly recommend that you maintain contact to avoid any unpleasant surprises.
