Existing Worker Traineeships

To commence an Existing Worker Traineeship, the employee must first be currently employed for at least three months with the same employer.

Usually the employer contacts the Australian Apprenticeship Centre (such as Busy at Work) to make arrangements for the Training Contract to be signed. Once this is complete, the employer and employee nominate a Supervising Registered Training Organisation (such as Healthy Business Training Academy). We come out and establish the training plan with both parties, identifying the qualification and units to be completed as well as the assessment and delivery methods.

The Australian Apprenticeship Centre (such as Busy at Work) will provide more detailed information regarding subsidies paid to the employer and will manage the existing worker traineeship. The SRTO will manage the training and assessment services.
