Certificate III in Health Administration
You will need to complete 15 units of competency to complete the full HLT32907 Certificate III in Health Administraiton. The combination of required core and elective units is identified on our enrolment form.
While we welcome your enrolment in individual modules, you need to be aware that completing the full certificate in this manner will be more expensive than enrolling in a full certificate.
Entry requirements
HBTA does restrict enrolments to clients aged 18 - 65 with a minimum Year 10 level of English and Maths.
You will not need to own a computer or specific software, but will be expected to complete some tasks electronically for specific units. Access to unit-specific software outside of workshops is highly recommended for both practice and assessment purposes.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
Prerequisite and Corequisite requirements
There are no prerequisite requirements for any unit in this qualification.

Delivery
There are no set workshops for this program but mentoring is available for distance education enrolments if required. Seminars/workshops can be facilitated for specific units, subject to sufficient enrolments being confirmed.
The units HLTOHS300A Contribute to OHS processes and HLTIN301B Comply with infection control policies and procedures in health work have a practical assessment requirement. You can choose to enrol in both units together and attend a workshop, or enrol in individual units through recognition or distance learning pathways. Please note that, if you select individual units, you will need to contact HBTA to discuss practical skills evaluation options.
Please contact us for further details.

Enrolment fees are listed on our enrolment form and information brochure. They include all training resources needed to complete your program but exclude internet access, computer equipment and software, travel costs and/or self-catering expenses.
If you apply for recognition of prior learning or current competencies but your evidence is not sufficient, you may be liable for an additional $44.00 per unit to cover any gap training and assessment. These fees do not carry GST. However, we do apply GST to our service charges. These are listed on our Fees and Charges page.

Recognition assessment
There are many ways to complete a program. This process recognises that you may not be a 'clean slate'. You may have completed training with another organisation (registered or unregistered training organisation or witn an employer, for example). You may also have working and life experience which you can use to demonstrate that you can already fulfill the tasks required by your chosen unit/s of competency.
There are four ways you can obtain a recognition assessment:
- Recognition of Prior Learning - your previous learning experiences & decided on the basis of documentary or interview evidence
- Recognition of Current Competencies - your current skills and skills, gained through a variety of means which do not inlcude formal learning, decided using a variety of methods
- National Recognition - automatically applies for an identical unit (same code, title and standards) in your program with us
- Credit Transfer - requires a judgement on our part between broadly equivalent (but not identical) Units or modules (combination of units) from accredited courses.
If you are interested in applying for Recognition, we recommend that you read the Health Programs RPL Handbook before contacting us and requesting an Application for an RPL Kit. The Handbook contains important and useful information regarding the collection of appropriate evidence. It also describes the process which we are obliged to follow in assessing Recognition applications.
