What we offer:
Healthy Business Training Academy offers a wide range of training programs for general small and micro business proprietors, office administration staff and supervisors/team leaders. This brochure describes the qualifications we now deliver including units available in each one.
HBTA is proud to offer jobseekers aged 18 - 65 the Certificate III in Customer Contact through the Productivity Places Program, an Australian Government initiative. Jobseekers can find further information in this PDF Brochure as well as at the Program website: http://www.productivityplaces.deewr.gov.au/job_seekers.htm.
We believe that you deserve information specifically designed for your individual business, whether you are an employee or an employer. This is rarely achieved by sitting in a classroom being trained by people who spend all of their time training others but little time working in the real business world.
You need programs that recognise your unique learning needs and occupational requirements. You need that training to be provided by people who currently work in the real business world and who know the real pressures and issues you face. Healthy Business Training Academy is uniquely qualified to help you meet this need!
Our training programs incorporate flexible delivery methods to provide creative, intuitive, interactive and fun learning experiences. This means they can be completed through distance education with on-job assessment for certain Units, or we can help you complete your program through on-job delivery and assessment. You minimise the time away from your job while gaining valuable skills and knowledge.

These job roles are indicative only and reflect the type of occupation which someone with a particular qualification could be filling. While there is a clear path from one qualification to another, you do not have to enrol in a set sequence of qualifications to achieve a particular employment outcome. We can also offer you skill sets based on a cluster of units to meet specific employment or job-related objectives. This can be extremely useful if you need to 'brush up' on project coordination techniques or want to get recognition for your exceptional team leadership skills (for example).

Qualification pathways
You can start with a Certificate II in Business and progress through to higher level qualifications as you win promotions or additional duties. Completing qualifications on our Scope from other training packages is also an excellent way to ensure that you optimise your employment opportunities, or to gain valuable recognition for the skills you have accumulated in recent years.
For example:
- start with basic skills in office administration...
- gain employment in a health centre...
- acquire supervisory responsibilities...
- acquire staff training responsibilities...
- become a qualified vocational trainer and assessor...
- branch out and seek to consult with registered training organisations...
- establish a sound reputation for service delivery and expand your business...
This is, of course, only an example of one potential career path. You could combine any number of qualifications depending on your career direction, current employment options and occupational requirements.
You can also start with a higher level qualification to reflect your current duties, skills and knowledge (or to obtain specific skills so you can secure that ideal job). This is more practical if you have been working for some time and are looking for either new skills or formal recognition of those you already have. The business qualificatiosn we offer do not have pre-requisite requirements, so you do not have to start with a Certificate II in Business.
It can be useful, however, to enrol in a lower qualification where your skills need enhancing and build a solid foundation before enrolling in a higher-level qualification. This can be very important if you are largely self-taught in Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Though your skills and knowledge may be quite thorough, some students have over-estimated their capabilities and found the Certificate IV units a greater challenge than expected.
Programs can also be customised to meet corporate needs from any qualification or Units we have on Scope. Contact us today for more details about our business programs or to request enrolment information.

Training and assessment resources:
Applicants enrolling in flexible delivery (self-paced) programs should note that some training manuals, assignment cover sheets and workbooks will only be provided on CD-ROM unless we receive a specific request for printed copies only. This applies to the following resources supplied by Sea Eagle Publications:
- Certificate IV in Small Business Management resources,
- BSBOHS407A Monitor a safe workplace (BSB07) or BSBCMN411A Monitor a safe workplace (BSB01)
- BSBCUC401A Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies (BSB07) or BSBCMN410A Coordinate implementation of customer service strategies (BSB01)
It costs less to mail a CD than a pile of paper, as well as being friendlier to the environment. Each CD contains MS Word 2003 assessment templates which you can complete before mailing in to us
